La temporada de premios se encuentra cada vez más cerca y las distintas asociaciones de prensa y crítica en general van dando a conocer sus favoritas del año que termina. La lista de los críticos de Londres no tiene mayores diferencia con las otras que se han estado presentado ultimamente (especialmente del otro lado del atlántico), solo las menciones a un puñado de celebrados filmes locales (entre ellos el biopic Control). La lista incluye además algunos títulos destacables, que han tenido poca difusión en las recientes nominaciones, como Zodiac o The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
